Fire Alarm & Suppression Technician
Mechanical / Low Voltage
Location: Taylor, Texas
Pay: $35–$45 per hour, depending on experience
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm & Suppression Technician with a mechanical and/or low-voltage background to support installation work on semiconductor process equipment at a major project site in Taylor, Texas.
This role is ideal for candidates who are comfortable working in structured, high-spec environments such as semiconductor facilities, data centers, industrial sites, or other mission-critical projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut, bend, and install stainless steel tubing up to 1 inch for discharge piping systems
- Perform low-voltage wiring for alarm systems, detection devices, and control panels
- Read and interpret layouts, schematics, drawings, and installation instructions
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to complete installations safely and efficiently
- Follow structured installation procedures and project specifications
- Maintain compliance with all site safety standards and project requirements
- Support testing, commissioning, and final system verification as needed
Requirements
- Experience with mechanical installation, plumbing, or pipefitting; stainless steel experience is preferred
- Experience with low-voltage wiring, controls, alarm systems, or detection devices
- Background in fire suppression systems or similar mechanical and electrical systems is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-spec environment
- Data center, industrial, semiconductor, or mission-critical project experience is preferred
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow structured installation procedures
- Ability to work on-site in Taylor, Texas
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience installing high-pressure CO2 fire suppression systems
- Experience with system commissioning, testing, and final verification
- Previous work on semiconductor or mission-critical projects
